This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of 25 wonderful and curious students who are learning to read and use technology. Due to the pandemic, we have not been able to meet in person but I am meeting with them via Zoom every day. My students have so much potential and are missing some key resources. We are a Title I school and all of our students receive free meals throughout the day.
My Project
I recently moved to a new school district and have noticed a true need for a classroom printer. In order to maximize my instructional time I need a printer so I am able to print student work, assignments, and lesson plans. Additionally, the color printer will allow me to print beautiful projects that my students create on their Chromebook. This all in one printer will also allow me to scan assignments to my students who are working from home due to the pandemic.
It can be challenging to move to a new school district and rebuild a classroom.
There are times that my students need a differentiated assignment on the spot and that can be hard to plan for. This printer would allow me to accommodate students right away without having to wait until the next day when I can print something at home.
Our school has a copier but there aren't many printers available. This creates a challenge when I create something on the computer or find something that is already created for me online. I cannot print it in the classroom but at home. It is much more efficient to have a printer in the classroom. I would greatly appreciate having this essential tool in my classroom.
