This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My high school students had been resilient during remote learning, staying on top of their assignments, being present during our digital conference taking care of their responsibilities at home while their parents work. They had learned to manage their time by getting things done and being versatile.

My students had become responsible young adults who had shown great strength during these uncertain times and had stayed focused on their academic achievement against all odds.

They had placed great value on their education and had expressed how much they miss being at school learning next to their classmates and although it is not possible now, they are engaged in learning.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers has engaging practice activities that will support my students in the listening, speaking, reading and writings sections of the AP Spanish Language and Culture Assessment. Some schools have access to AP digital books and practice, but not ours. Our AP textbooks had not been updated for the current AP readings/themes, and there is no budget to purchase any digital books online. We relied solely on photocopies to expose students to the current materials.

AP digital resources will enhance student learning and engagement through its various authentic platforms.

Students will focus on developing their listening, speaking, reading/comprehension and writing skills to tackle the six AP themes: personal and public identities, science and technology, global challenges, families and communities, beauty aesthetics, contemporary life. These AP digital materials will give my students confidence as they simulate the test/assessment.
