My Students
My students are awesome! I teach at a Philadelphia public school that qualifies for Title I funding. My entire class qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students live in a single-parent household and some of them are being cared for by a foster family or extended family members.
Despite the challenges my students face, they come each day with a great attitude.
Many of them have faced hardships that you would never want any child to ever experience. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn and progress.
My Project
The hand2mind materials requested in this project would provide students with a chance to learn, problem-solve, and think critically.
Please help my students experience hands-on STEM opportunities!
Task cards will provide the inquiry experience and materials allow students to work to solve a problem or construct a unit. The dry erase worksheet records their discovery and notes to repeat and improve on their designs. STEM fields have continued industry growth and I would like to help prepare my students to compete in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields in the future!
