Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 29 great students from very diverse cultural backgrounds. We are part of a fantastic K-6 school with over 800 students. My students are kind, caring, and full of life. We enjoy reading, creating stories of our own, playing and experiencing new things. We are curious scientists, mathematicians, authors, teachers, humanitarians and managers in the making. We are learning how to be positive, productive, and inspired world citizens. We are the future of this world, and boy do we know it.

My Project

My students need books to read. We need books from a variety of genres and a wide range of reading levels in order to improve our literacy and foster their enjoyment of reading. Books can transport us to different worlds and allow us to see things from different perspectives. We know that the more that we read the better readers we will become. We also know that nothing makes reading easier or more exciting than high interest books that all students love. Please make our wish of having a wide range of exciting books in our own classroom a reality.
