Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a reading teacher and my students are small groups of three students in second through third grades. I keep them for 8 weeks and then after we retest the students, we create another list of students who need help.
The research shows that the more students read, the better they do.
My students love to read but would benefit from having books at home.
My Project
I am a reading interventionist and work with small groups of second and third graders. They love to read and I would like to put books in their hands to take home for reinforcement!

Because of the COVID pandemic, many of the libraries are closed and my students cannot have the pleasure of going to a library to get books. I would love to be able to send books home with them so they can grow their own home library!
