Help me give my students a variety of art supplies in order to provide them with hands-on art experiences that are tied to their Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love my 6th graders. They are inquisitive, funny, happy to be back in school and (mostly) appreciative. Their questions that propel our class learning are like little jewels of knowledge. They embrace new academic challenges with a fearless enthusiasm that is refreshing.
I teach in a low-socioeconomic area with about 95% of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
I am starting my 24th year teaching, and I still love working with the students. Sometimes I wonder if I learn more from them than they do from me.
My Project
I have been teaching for 24 years and this year I decided to make the jump from elementary to middle school! I couldn't be happier, however, imagine my surprise when I got to middle school and I realized we don't have access to the art materials that I'm used to. I was shocked. Still am. And I'm grateful that I can do something about it.
These art supplies will be used to bring the English and Ancient Civilization curriculum to life.
I have all these ideas how to incorporate art into the curriculum and zero supplies follow through! This is the first time in about 2 years that my students have actually been in a classroom with a teacher! (Me too!) They need as many opportunities to represent what they are learning in as many ways possible. Which is why art is such an important component this year, (every year), but really this year.
