This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning and life experiences.

My students need flexible seating to help them stay motivated and focused in the classroom during direct instruction and independent work.

My students need different seating to help them exert their energy in a positive way! My classroom is full of learners who learn in many diverse ways. Having movement and flexible seating is essential in my classroom everyday.

My Project

Flexible seating, wobble chairs, will help my fifth grade students enjoy student centered learning. They will be able to choose to use a regular chair or a wobble chair.

The donations for this project will improve my classroom by reducing the amount of behavioral issues, because I will be able to provide the appropriate stimulation that my students need.

For special education learning support students, it is very essential to keep your students engaged and motivated. This can be hard because many students have a hard time focusing during direct instruction. These stools will help keep them focused and motivated to learn.
