This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my 1st year teaching and I am super excited to be teaching Special Education. I teach Special Education Kinder - 2nd grade and we've only been at school for a couple of days and I LOVE MY KIDS!

My heart is extremely happy to be able to teach these students that come from a low-socioeconomic status.

They make the difference in my life and I am ready to provide them with the best education so they can be successful!

My Project

These materials will provide my special needs students with the appropriate tools to be successful in the classroom with a 1st year special education teacher. Students will get to practice their English Language Arts and Math skills while utilizing items such as counting chips, Coogman letter matching eggs, Learning Resources magnetic letters, Torlam giant magnetic ten-frame set and using STEM manipulatives for building like Brain Flakes interlocking plastic disc set, Rainbow toyfrog gears and learning resources mathlink cubes.

My students with special needs will get to sit comfortably on a large carpet area to experience the love for reading and listening to great stories.

Also, students will get to explore the world of imagination by fostering a positive culture that will allow them to problem solve (STEM) with items such as the Rainbow star flex, wooden pattern blocks, Qun xing stem building blocks and waffle blocks.

The magnetic squares will allow me to put up posters on the white boards so students can use as reference. We will be able to showcase our books of the week by displaying them in the magnetic spice rack on the white board for students to see. The Scotch thermal laminating sheets are very useful as they are used for all of their picture schedules needed for special education as well as work sheets that can be reusable for writing their names.
