My Special Students Need to Continue to Hear the Rhythm
My students need to be able to hear me despite their disabilities, which include hearing impairments, autism, attention deficit disorder and/or speech and language delays.
Despite the many and varied disabilities that my public school teenage students face, they are entitled to and benefit from programs that their general education peers receive - including a music program.
Because of the many challenges that my students face, it can be difficult for many of them to focus on a specific activity. The use of a portable microphone system would make their ability to focus so much easier. In addition, when I direct our chorus or teach a class, my ability to use a system that is "attached to me" would not only save my voice, but the fact that the sound comes from an amplifier that I wear around my waist would lessen confusion -- the sound would come from me - no matter where I go -- it would not come from a speaker on the opposite side of the room.
The ChatterVox Complete System Plus would definitely meet so many needs. My hearing impaired students would now be able to hear the rhythm, my students with autism or attention deficit disorder would be able to improve their ability to focus and my speech and language delayed students would be able to participate in a more meaningful way.
Thanks to budget cuts it is getting more and more difficult to obtain needed resources from our schools directly -- including resources to replace aging or worn-out devices. I am therefore asking generous donors such as yourselves to help us out. The ChatterVox Complete System Plus would be a tremendous help to my music program.
