This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The sensory corner is new to this location and while I strongly encourage 20 minutes quiet work the students earn break breaks and fun Fridays. This brand new classroom has now come back since pre-covid days.
My plan is to keep the small group working and building their study skills along with catching up with all their work.
I plan to get each student to move up a grade level.
My students are very low and require this support rather than being in a large group setting with too much distraction. These tools (bean bag chairs, weighted blankets, sensory toys, etc.) will specifically help each student whether autistic, PTSD, dyslexic or intellectually challenged.
