This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students have not returned to school but I would like to help them with transitioning from home to school with minimal changes to the environment. The district plans on going back to school with major restrictions due to Covid 19. There must be minimal to no contact with the teacher and peers. Each student must have their own personal learning space and supplies.
My Project
On the first day of school the children will come into the classroom seeing they already have their own personal learning materials and space. They will be introduced to independence skills by learning how to take personal ownership of their materials. The chair pockets will also aid in the rules and restrictions pertaining to the Covid 19 virus. The students must have their own materials with limited personal contact. The chair pockets are perfect for the students to become independent while we go through a very different time in the classroom environment.
