Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I call the children the Dream Team. They are full of wonder and surprises. They are curious ,eager to learn and willing to do the work. The Dream Team has a majority of children with autism, some with ADHD, and a couple with impulse control issues.
They like being in close proximity to me.
When we break up into groups by the time I get to my desk half of them are there waiting for me. I love working with them but, because of the paperwork involved in my job sometimes my desk is too cluttered. I have to turn them away sometimes and it just breaks their little hearts. There are folders upon folders of their work that I collect ,and sheets that I need to help them at my table. I believe that if I can scan the work that I have in hard copy I can eliminate a lot of the folders and free up room for them. The document scanner that I'm asking for will enable me to do that.
