My Project

As a high school health and wellness educator, I have the opportunity to support and guide students during one of their most crucial periods of self-discovery, the transitional phase of adolescence. It is my goal to foster a classroom environment where students feel safe to express their feelings and seek help as necessary. Recognizing that students may need accommodations to manage various aspects of their social, physical and mental health while keeping up with schoolwork, I endeavor to create a multifaceted classroom that merges all areas.

The requested materials will assist with overall wellness and the promotion of discussion about mental health.

These materials will be used as a resource to incorporate health education concepts within our curriculum. Additionally, providing personal supplies, an ideal workspace, and practical support and counsel, may improve daily living thus encouraging students to reduce health related stigmas, practice therapeutic strategies and normalize seeking help. Early intervention can make a lasting impact which is crucial for students' well-being and academic success.
