Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The days of competition in Physical Education are numbered.

My students live in the New York City and are used to being indoors and not having many opportunities to get exercise.

They are well behaved children from low income families. Most of my students do not have the funds to be involved in outside physical activities. This means that their only opportunity for exercise is during my Physical Education class.

My Project

This catch system with enable my students to be physically active while incorporating teamwork. My students will have to establish a goal and that goal will only be obtained by working as a pair. My students will enjoy working together while practicing skills in a physical activity lesson.

Teamwork and healthy communication is an essential skill to obtain to be successful in the grownup world.

In these days of technology, children have not been given that many chances to communicate in real life social situations. It is important that children learn healthy ways of communication and expression. I believe team building exercises in Physical Education will be very helpful for our youth's future.
