This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a high-need area in NY. Many of my students' only opportunities for team sports/activities are in my gymnasium. My students want to learn different throwing and catching sports but I am lacking the equipment to accommodate them.

My physical education students are full of energy and excitement.

They look forward to and enjoy physical education. I would like to expand my throwing and catching unit to give my students a foundation for success in many sports and recreational activities.

My Project

My students need Team Identification pinnies, 2 accuracy targets, 6 multicolored foam footballs, bodyball game, 6 sets of fleece balls for begginer throwing and catching. Your help will ensure my students an opportunity to participate in throwing and catching skills that they would not normally be exposed to. It is important for students to experience a variety of sports, skills and activities to find the one that will enable them to be life-long movers!

Elementary Physical Education is the most important level of P.E.

for our students. At the elementary level students acquire skills that will determine their success in secondary P.E. and life long recreation and fitness. With your help we will be able to give thousands of students a chance to succeed in P.E. now and for a lifetime.
