My Mobile Learning Theater for Multi-Lingual Learners

My Project

I am a multi-lingual instructor and work with students who speak multiple languages. Our school district wants us to incorporate our teaching methods with students within their general education classroom setting. The supplies on my list would benefit my students because I am constantly roving the school and moving in and out of various classrooms.

A whiteboard on wheels would allow me to work with students on a much larger scale than my small handheld whiteboard.

I am often sitting on the floor with students in the back of a classroom. The clipboards would allow my older students to practice with dry erase markers and complete practice worksheets and/or final writing assignments while seated. The clipboards are dual purpose. Sometimes my students like to doddle. Instead of defacing wooden clipboards, I can have students erase their doodles with the dry erase markers before turning them in to me. My kindergarten students would benefit from the smaller dry erase boards.

I also requested a laminator because I like to laminate student projects. Additionally, I often print worksheets that students can practice writing with. Instead of wasting paper by printing them daily, I can laminate worksheets and reuse them multiple times.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my project request. As a multi-lingual teacher, I don't get my own classroom. I don't have a regular roster that I work with daily, so I am not privy to the school supply lists many students turn in at the beginning of school. I have to fund my supplies mostly on my own. Our school is not Title 1 and our budget doesn't always fund school supplies for those of us in my position. Thank you, again! Mrs. Havelka
