My Marvelous Mathematicians and Classroom Economists
Help me give my students projects and activities that make them think outside the box. I would love to boost their knowledge in multiplication and division. Some items will be great for our Classroom Economy.
I have the great pleasure of teaching an incredible group of 3rd graders this year! I am so lucky to have a new group of learners that are such great mathematicians and readers. They show a desire to learn each day. I would love to incorporate engaging activities and projects in my lessons to allow them to think outside the box.
I am using a Classroom Economy as my reward system this year.
This is a great way to teach financial responsibility and many other things. This kind of reward system helps my students improve their behavior, take responsibility with jobs, and complete their work. They also learn how to budget or save their money. My students have done a great job so far practicing their addition and subtraction skills using this reward system. I would love to include some fun items for them to purchase with their hard earned money at the Classroom Store at the end of each week.
My Project
Students will be able to practice their math skills with some of these items. Multiplication is extremely important in 3rd grade for my students to master. These items will help them master those facts quickly.
My students work hard each week to earn classroom cash to spend or save money.
These items will allow them work towards an interesting item to them. Students will be able to purchase some of these items with the classroom money they earn each week.
The student disposable masks are very useful to have in the classroom in case a students doesn't have one that day. I want to make sure every student feels safe.
