My Kindergarteners have been doing distance learning now for 5 weeks! It was a huge transition! I have children who can log into WebEx each morning for our Morning Meeting. They have assignments on Google Classroom, however these resources are limited due to not many paper/pencil activities, and paper books, or art project supplies. In meeting with my parents virtually, I am recognizing their needs for May are to gain more supplemental "real" hands-on materials as we complete our school year.
It would be such a blessing to get physical materials into my students' hands, to supplement the virtual experience online.
Developmentally, they are missing so much with fine motor skills and creativity. Thank you for your consideration in funding this distance learning project!
My Project
These materials will benefit my Kindergarten students in their distance learning, and bring a smile to their face! Hands-on books are so valuable as compared to the virtual options now available. The paper journals will provide a place to do some daily writing and drawing, such an essential skill!
Many of the materials such as crayons, colored pencils, pencils and glue sticks will provide the students with needed supplies as they continue their distance learning.
We will use the dry erase boards in our daily WebEx meetings. They will be able to show their work in real time! Thank you for your consideration for my Kindergarteners!
