This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Please help our classroom to be more colorful and vibrant!My kindergarten students need new scissors, markers, watercolors and a paper cutter for all the fun projects in their first year of school.

I work at a Title 1 school in California.

My Kindergarten students are eager to grow and learn together and they come from extremely diverse backgrounds. I serve a transient population of coast guard families. I have students from Vietnam, Yemen, Mexico, India, and China to name a few and I also have students who are coping with difficult hardships in their families like homelessness.

My Project

If given all the art supplies my students will be able to make their work more vibrant and meaningful to them. With the markers and watercolors my students will be able to decorate special phonics/art projects. The uniform scissors will eliminate quarrels over preferred colored scissors :) and the paper cutter will allow me to customize paper to our specific projects.

If this proposal is funded, my Kindergarten students will have access to the art supplies needed to make completing classroom projects more fun to create and more colorful as a result!
