My Handy-Dandy Everything Apron!

Help me give my students the sensory objects they need in order to sustain their attention during my lessons. The exciting part is items, such as, spacing sticks, pencil grips and sensory balls will be hidden inside.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and are filled with boundless energy. For some students, learning to read and write comes easily for them. Many however, need additional techniques, strategies and interventions to help them achieve their academic goals. Each of my students have different needs and I strive to find ways to make them successful. Because they are so young, they require fast solutions.

I think I have finally found a way to meet their needs right there on the spot.

I will use my new "Handy-Dandy Everything Apron"!

Inside each pocket, I will have items that they need to be successful.

My Project

This year I have 26 first grade students in my class. Many of these young children are learning for the first time how to write letters on the lines, they are learning to put spaces between words, they are also learning to hold pencils properly. Some of my students have sensory issues and at times, they have difficulty sitting and being able to focus on listening to stories or they have difficulty attending to our class conversations.

This "Handy-Dandy Everything Apron" will allow me to easily access the necessary tools my students will need in order to meet their academic goals.
