My First Year of Teaching

My students need basic classroom materials for activities, projects, lessons, and centers.

My Students

Our school strives to create life-long learners in all students. Every child has unique learning strategies, talents, strengths, and capabilities. My class and I will strive for excellence, respect, a sense of community and motivation to advance in the classroom.

My class will be filled with 24 inspiring, motivated, unique students.

Of these students, many are ELL students and many come from low-economic backgrounds. The students that will be in my class will be from unique backgrounds and all have different ways of learning.

My Project

This year will be the beginning of my teaching career. I am looking to get different materials for my classroom for the upcoming schoool year in order to ensure that my students will have access to the materials they need to succeed.

With this being my first year teaching in my own classroom, I need a lot of different materials to help my students achieve success.

My school is a STEM based charter school that focuses on creating life-long learners. I am asking for basic school supplies, manipulatives, STEM based materials, books, organizational tools, and anything else that might help the kiddos!

I asked for many manipulatives for my classroom including magnet tiles, wooden shapes, play-dough and more so that my students can learn using hands-on materials. I also asked for art supplies including construction paper and paint so that students can create projects and see their artwork throughout the classroom. Lastly, I requested many organizational tools such as student mailboxes, chair back buddies and tiny tub caddies so that our classroom can have structure for learning and that the materials are easily accessible to students.

My goal for students who use these resources is for them to become life-long learners in a classroom that is safe, organized, predictable, accessible and the least restrictive.
