They were so proud of their work, and they especially loved seeing our classroom transformed with the lanterns and other festive decorations that were also generously donated. They are learning delayed gratification. Many of them have high account balances because they would rather wait for more expensive items. However, they enjoy the immediate gratification of purchasing chips, toys, play dough, candy, and other things that you have donated. In addition to the items you donated for the class store, students enjoy getting their wiggles out by kicking their feet against the chair bands or using a squishy toy to de-stress.\r\n\r\nMy students were really excited to receive the donations. They were really excited to write the \"thank you\" notes. The next step is to allow the students more opportunities than twice a month to shop. I also want to give more opportunities for deposits as the students like depositing money into their accounts and watching it grow.
