it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year teacher and little by little I am finding out what supplies and resources I need to provide a great learning environment. My students are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
Unfortunately, my students lack basic supplies, in part, because we are in an inner-city neighborhood and also because of the current high prices of some educational items.
Your donation on this starter kit will help about 150 students. My class is organized so that students work in groups so I wish to create a basket, per table group, that includes everyday items such as pencils, pens, and rulers. These bare minimum tools are used everyday in our class to complete assignments. The dry erase lap boards and dry erase markers will provide me with more opportunities to create engaging lessons where students can collaborate and develop social skills as well.
