Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Understanding what is in books is easy, but my students want hands-on fun gadgets to work with. They want to soar like eagles into accelerated learning.
My students are Second Graders who have been accepted into the Gifted and Talented academy for our district.
Being young and identified as gifted they should be challenged in academics and technology.
Most of my students do not have computers at home, which means students need to learn about technology and resources in the classroom. Students learn how to work collaboratively with each other through online resources, but are also provided some opportunities to have fun with technology.
My Project
Dash & Dot robots are hands-on learning tools that teach creativity, problem solving, and coding to children in grades K-5. Children can see their code come to life in a real-world, hands-on way that engages them fully in the concepts they are learning about. As robotics and computers become increasingly prevalent in students’ lives, understanding programming concepts is becoming very important for students’ success.
Students will work in small groups to develop their collaboration and communication abilities as they learn valuable 21st century skills. Help our students get introduced to STEM early and and cultivate their skills for the opportunities of today’s world with 2 Wonder Packs of Dash and Dot Robots.
Our classes are small and love hands-on activities. I would love to bring additional robots into the class so student can work in smaller groups to get more hands on time.
Students should get all the opportunities to play and learn with technology while they are younger.
This way when they become older they can create the new technology the next generation will use.
