My Project
One in every 68 students faces challenges with interacting with others, communicating, grasping new concepts, and socializing. By donating to this project, you will not only provide my students with valuable hands-on experience but also the opportunity to help develop new personal and independent skills.
My students will acquire 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, digital literacy, leadership, communication, and social skills.
Students will learn how to design, construct, and tailor items that will benefit their school community, items such as school swags, spirit gear, school production, and school events. I have seniors who will enjoy designing and creating items and appeals for their prom, graduation, senior trips, and other end-of-year events.
As a teacher, I try to help my school community. I printed designs at home and had my students assist with ironing the designs on school gear. The best part is to see the joy, smiles, and sense of pride on students' faces when they see the school community utilizing and wearing the things they crafted.
My students show great interest in learning these new skills and I would love to give them this great opportunity. This can become possible with your assistance in getting the heat press machine and printer. I can teach my students how to use a printer to print these designs and to use a safer heat press with great safety features to transfer the designs.
As students learn these new skills, they will overcome fear and anxiety with confidence and creativity. They will gain the mental and physical boost necessary to take on challenges and access doors that would otherwise be inaccessible.
