Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our preschoolers come from very low-income families and low socio-economic areas. Most of our students come from apartment projects next to our school. Unfortunately during this pandemic, they don't have enough hands on materials to express their feelings and enhance their imaginations . Playing and Building with Clay encourage children fine motor ,self confidence , and social skills.

Using puppets support Children problem solving skills and enhance their self regulations.

It’s support their self-esteem socializing and expressing themselves.

My goal is to reach and to teach each child individually. I like to encourage their strengths and support them in areas they need to be more developed. I wish they could have hands-on materials to explore and experience In order to be more engaged and involved to enhance their self-confidence and master their abilities in all aspects, of the pre-k curriculum.

My Project

Using clay improves their creativity and imagination to make their own creatures, it will also impact their emotional release when they play with it and create something they like to see and talk about.

Using puppets support children problem solving skills socializing expressing themselves emotionally.

adults can support them with asking open ended questions and encourage the children to extend the conversation-

Children need to be able to express their feelings and learn how to solve conflicts. When children use fun puppets, they express their emotions and words with a greater self confidence.
