Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is a Title I school. Many of my students receive their life experiences from the classroom since their parents work 2 or 3 jobs, and that´s why it´s so important for me to provide as many opportunities as possible for them to not only learn from the core subjects, but also socialize, play, develop life skills, and so much more.

My kids deserve to have the very best in their classroom, and that´s why I want to have more variety of games and activities to offer for their morning time, and also some other moments when they are allowed to play board games with their classmates and me.

Most of my students don´t have their own headphones so I have to buy them, and we use them a lot in our daily instruction in English and Spanish. Also, I´m committed to teach each of my students how to tie their shoes this year because more than half of my 5th grade class can´t do it by themselves! I want them to feel that their classroom is an inviting, safe, familiar, and friendly place for them to be. I have high expectations of each one of my kids so we work really hard, but I also want them to have a lot of fun too.
