I look forward to meeting my new students in just a few short weeks. I would like to give them each a subscription to Scholastic's Kindergarten magazine.
Students will love the fun nonfiction texts on the great big world around them.
The magazine will introduce students to seasonal science or social development topics. My Big World incorporates active learning, including movement, song, discussion and hands-on investigations. The subscription also includes a digital component.
Students will also have the ability to share what they learned with their families. There are activities for both classroom and home. The magazine will add to student exposure of a nonfiction text as well as add to their personal and academic development.
