This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Taking care of our mental health is vital, especially in the high school setting. Navigating feelings, thoughts, expectations, and wellness is no easy task, especially in the body and mind of a teenager! Some of my students experience anxiety, learning difficulties, anger issues, depression, past trauma etc. These fidgets, stress balls, stickers and the calming owl will help our students with maintaining focus in class, calm their nerves and senses throughout their school day and find comfort during counseling sessions.

Mindfulness posters will be hung on the counseling suite walls to offer encouraging messages and reminders to stay present and focused.

These visual cues will help reinforce the principles of mindfulness throughout the day, providing students with tools to navigate their emotions and thoughts more effectively.
