My Students

One of my favorite quotes is by Charles Ives: "You cannot set art off in a corner and hope for it to have vitality, reality, and substance." I believe to help keep music education vital and relevant, technological advances have to make their way into the classroom and help us connect to the world.

My students are hard-working, talented musicians who enthusiastically share their passion with our community.

Students participate in concert, jazz, and marching ensembles as well as various solo and small group activities to bring music into our everyday lives.

My Project

We are in need of some brass mutes for both our concert and jazz ensembles. Often, music will call for these unique pieces of equipment to achieve the sound quality or mood a composer desires. Unfortunately, there are many different kinds of mutes, and many students who need to use them at the same time!

We need help to be able to purchase these instrument accessories so that all students can have access when the music requires.

With purchasing a school set, we relieve students of the personal financial burden and are then able to provide them to more students in the years to come.
