Musical Motivation And A World Map, Too!

My students need a new world map, some fun paper to cover our bulletin boards, some musical quotes, and some musical concept posters.

My Students

I teach at a wonderful middle school that has been recognized four times as a "school to watch." This is very remarkable since we live in a high-poverty area, and many of our students have difficulty finding support for musical enrichment outside of our classroom.

My students thrive in a student-centered learning environment where they can discover and learn by using our classroom tools and technology.

We have very little room in our classroom budget for anything but basic music needs and instrument repairs.

My Project

My room is full of color and creativity! I love to keep students inspired and motivated from the moment that they enter my classroom. I would like to continue that motivation by ensuring that my old bulletin boards are covered, not only in important information and teaching tools, but also in music!

We need a new world map for our bulletin boards, and several interesting types of musical papers to use as a background.

I want my students to explore the world through music and I cannot think of a better way to catch their eye from the minute that they walk through the door!
