At my school, my students love to use classroom instruments! In music, we use instruments to teach all kinds of concepts. Students use instruments to learn rhythms, melodies, accompany a story, create their own musical piece, play a musical game, or accompany a song. Since students have been using my classroom instruments for over 15 years, some of our instruments have broken and need to be replaced.
These new classroom instruments will replace our broken instruments and allow students to continue to enjoy learning musical concepts through playing classroom instruments!
With these instruments, my students will learn how to play rhythm patterns and create their own rhythm ostinatos. The boomwhackers and handbells will help my students learn pitches, solfege, and how to read music. These instruments will also help my students perform musical pieces both in the classroom and for an audience. My students always enjoy using instruments in the classroom and I hope with your generosity, we can continue using these instruments in music!
