it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The school days are long, especially when you’re 7. Sitting at the same desk all day can make students feel restless, fidgety and cause a lack of energy. By having multiple flexible seating options for students, my hope is to make learning more entertaining, engaging, and productive. Using these seating options during small group time as well as when students need a break from their desks can make the classroom more enjoyable and comfortable for the long day of learning.
New seats mean new interest from students.
My students this year are struggling to get through our new schedule with long periods of instruction time with no breaks. Multiple students will move around the classroom, from the desk to the floor to the rug area and back throughout the lessons when struggling to pay attention. These seating options will be a great way to help my students stay focused and enjoy the classroom!
