My Students
A typical day in our classroom is filled with singing, dancing, loving, and learning! We work together each day to have a peaceful, positive, and happy classroom where students grow and learn as a classroom family!
My school is a melting pot!
My students come from many different cultures and speak many different languages. One thing we all have in common is that we enjoy learning through songs. We do a lot of dancing and singing on a daily basis in our classroom. It is very engaging for children and is a fun way to learn for our students.
My Project
Having a guitar, guitar stand, picks, and tuner in our classroom will allow my students to sing and dance as I play the guitar, rather than always relying on our CD player or Smartboard to play music for us. We sing many nursery rhymes, learning songs, and songs during our morning meeting that can easily be sung to guitar music.
Listening to and making your own music is fun, engaging, and exciting for children.
I have many fond memories of singing with my second grade teacher as she played the guitar. It was enjoyable and memorable for me and the rest of my class. I hope to share this same wonderful experience with my kindergartners!
