My Students
My students love to attend our school where technology integration happens on a daily basis. We are a pre-kindergarten to 8th-grade school in Princeton, ME. I teach all 140 students in a week.
I love that my students are enthusiastic, spirited, and willing to participate in school events.
Sixty-five percent of my student population comes from low-income households. These kids love coming to school where they feel safe and are part of our "family". They are always willing to lend a helping hand to build our school and community relations.
My Project
Because our school is one-to-one, headphones are on school supply lists grades 3-8. Students use their headphones to hear text to speech, game sounds, and music. Headphones are a great help in differentiating students' lessons.
To alleviate this costly burden, some low-income households need this item donated for their child.
Having these new headphones will make a difference in my students' learning. With the use of headphones, students are able to listen to their individual reading passages without the disruption of others. Sometimes, listening to music helps students stay focused on their tasks. Finally, many students enjoy being able to listen to their games' sounds.
