My students are frequently faced with challenges they can't control. My goal is to give them the very best I can every day and make their experience in my classroom positive and educational.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and home situations, but the thing they have in common is their love of making music and playing their instruments!
They come to school early and stay late to improve their skills. They work hard and inspire me every day.
My Project
My students enjoy music classes, and recently they have really enjoyed using online digital platforms like Soundtrap to enhance their musical skills. My students have been able to compose and learn about producing and sound engineering. These are skills that could be directly transferred to future careers in audio engineering and and music production.
Having access to technology every day is important for my students so they can hone their new skills.
Currently we share computers between all the students in our building, and there are frequently not enough for us to use in music class. Having our own set of Chromebooks, along with headphones and a charging cart will allow me to teach music technology and reach my students in a new way.
