My Project

I teach at a small rural school in an agricultural community where many of our students, particularly those from farming families, have had little or no exposure to professional music performances. Due to limited resources and geographic isolation, opportunities for arts education are scarce. By bringing essential musical supplies into the classroom, I hope to provide my students with hands-on learning experiences that will allow them to discover and develop their musical talents. With access to proper instruments and materials, these students will be better prepared to participate in school bands, choirs, and orchestras. More importantly, they will gain the confidence and skills needed to compete in high school music competitions and potentially pursue musical opportunities in college. This project will help nurture their creativity, discipline, and self-expression—qualities that will benefit them far beyond the music room.
