My students need books for their class. It is to help them learn how to read music and give them an opportunity to work on music at home as well as before school.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In a community of poverty and lack of resources, I have a large group of students who have become interested and dedicated to learning the art of music. Students are working hard to reach their full potential through the art of music. We are really trying to help them get to that point.
Students have been dedicated to the exciting world of music and learning more about this instrumental artform.
They are working hard to make every single day count!
My Project
This project is to help students with books for beginners band. It will allow students to take instruments home and practice with books that they receive in class.
We would like to use Essential Elements to help the students grow into level 1 musicians.
Also, the goal of band is for each student to become independent musicians and books will allow students to achieve that goal as individuals as well as a class. In the past, we have had trouble giving students books to use in class but now we can use the same books and save paper. We can assist with the students in need because they are already provided an instrument by the school and now they will have a level playing field with students who have more money.
