My Students

Imagine your kids trying to do their homework without a desk! That is what my band students are going through. Reliable music stands will provide a stable work surface for all musical needs.

My school is located in inner city New Jersey.

The band program is a group of hard-working young men and women with one common goal: making quality music. They dedicate a majority of their free time practicing their instruments and rehearsing. They give back to the community by performing as much as possible.

My Project

The music stands in our band room are simply unacceptable. They are no longer 'adjustable' - they just slide down to the lowest height, making it difficult for my students to see their music while rehearsing. They also flip over because the hinges are so old and worn. Occasionally during class this happens, spilling our musicians' sheet music all over the floor.

This high school band program needs your help!

These students give back to the community on a regular basis by giving the gift of music. They perform at parades, store openings, athletic events, and anywhere else they can fit the band. However, their progress is impaired by a lack of reliable equipment. Our music stands are ridden with graffiti and no longer function. The lack of adequate work surfaces directly effects our ability to rehearse and perform.
