My Students
I teach 4K-8 general music in a small rural school. The community of the school is wonderful, teachers work together and provide a safe, happy atmosphere for the kids. The poverty rate in this area is about 49%. They come to school enthusiastic and ready to learn. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I see every student in grades k-5!
Currently, we have a large carpet for sitting, but I am looking to purchase wiggle stools and seating discs for those who need to be able to move.
My Project
I am looking to purchase core strengthening wobble stools and core strengthening air cushion seating discs for flexible seating in my music classroom. We are seeking some flexible seating options for the students. They love stools! These stools would give each child individual space while saving room for everyone to be comfortable while working. The bottom of the stool is rounded.
These stools will allow movement for students who would normally fidget in the chair or on the carpet.
It also builds core strength for those who need to work on their gross motor skills. The stools can also be moved easily around the room for other tasks and projects. They are a nice option that meets many needs in the classroom.
