This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember playing instruments in Music class? We have ukuleles, but we need them to be stored and protected in ukulele bags. We want to keep these instruments in good condition so we can use them with our other classroom instruments...and make Music, Music, Music!

Our students are wonderful children who want to learn to play musical instruments in the elementary Music class.

This may be their only chance to play an instrument as many families cannot afford private lessons. This school is in a low-income, Hispanic community in Florida.

My Project

Our students will be learning basic ukulele chords to play. They will sing songs and play the instruments. This will allow them to create music using the ukuleles! To protect and preserve the condition of the instrument, we desperately need cases to replace the old boxes they are in now. In our music classes, we will be able to play ukuleles, drums and xylophones to make Music, Music, Music!

Music is important in a child's life.

Our low-income, Hispanic students are fascinated with stringed instruments. By helping with this project, you can help a child create music! What a special gift!
