it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Music and the arts thrive within our beautifully diverse and rapidly expanding K-8 school. We are a Title I school serving students from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Our school is a warm, nurturing environment that values and celebrates cultural diversity. Throughout the school week, every child in our school receives music education, and our students have the opportunity to participate in after-school chorus, glee club, and musical theater.
Our music students are eager to learn and seek more diverse opportunities to study music during the school day and after school.
As our school expands, we are in need of musical instruments and technology to provide our students with exceptional musical learning experiences.
My Project
The goal for this project is to expand the amount of resources that will be readily available to my students. Some of the books requested are for the concert band, and the rest will be used for the piano lab.
Having a diverse music library is ideal for any ensemble so that students learn a variety of music by real composers and apply the skills they learn in their method books to a real-life situation.
Your donation will help expand our music department's resources further than ever. We now offer a concert band, rock band, choir, glee club, guitar club, and now a piano club.
