My students need Boomwhackers to practice various rhythms, melodies, and harmonies. The students also use Boomwhackers to enhance their music literacy and understanding of important music concepts.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students love to sing, dance, play instruments, and create every chance they get. They are energetic and enthusiastic, and constantly amaze me with their wit and creativity. Watching them make music and learn and express themselves through music is my greatest joy as an educator.
They deserve every resource possible to spark inspiration and explore their creativity.
Music resources can both empower them and enhance their overall education and well-being.
Thank you for your generous support in their musical education!
My Project
These boomwhackers serve as instruments to help students of all levels practice and invent rhythms and melodies, play as an ensemble, and explore scientific and mathematic concepts related to music.
With these materials, the learning opportunities are endless.
Boomwhackers are especially helpful, as they can be used easily by children of all ages and abilities. They can be tapped on each other, the floor, or the hand, and can also be hit with mallets like a xylophone. They allow for fun, versatile learning.
The Octavator Caps tune the boomwhackers down an octave, and create a broader range of pitches for students to explore and experience.
