This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The blue books will be used to further the student's ability with reading and performing scales and techniques. As musicians, we all know scales are the basis of music. The real books will help our music program develop a jazz band, which the students have expressed a great interest in, and these books would be a great start to building our program, as they foster many charts. My students show great potential, and I believe they just need an extra push with learning music fundamentals to get them to that next stage of being a musician.
