it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Please help bring the joy of music back to our hearts and classroom! Music makes everything more enjoyable. Sadly, due to our country's financial crises many wonderful music programs are being cut or terminated.
My students are creative and energetic, full of enthusiasm!
They live in one of the most poverty stricken areas of California. They attend kindergarten in a Primary Center which is located in a densely populated area. Almost all students who attend are English language learners with limited to no English skills.
My Project
Music is more than entertainment, it is a powerful learning tool! Music touches our hearts as well as our brains. Music helps promote brain development, makes learning easier and more enjoyable. We need a set of musical instruments for little hands, CDs, and sing along posters for the enrichment of our curriculum! These materials will help me integrate music in math, science, physical education, and English!
