My Project
Music also lifts our spirits. When students have music in the classroom, they are able to focus and put their thoughts into their work. I often stream music and play it over the classroom sound system, but I would love to give students the autonomy of choosing the album or cd to listen to. As a world geography teacher, I feel it is important to listen to music from around the world as we study different lands.
I am requesting a record player and storage stand so that I can encourage students to choose music to play when we have work time and reading time.
We have a no phones policy in the classroom - which is FANTASTIC - but I know students miss their music. I look forward to adding this to our classroom culture.
