My Project

A fantastic music education covers far more than singing and playing instruments. In our elementary music classes, students listen, interpret, report, synthesize, create, and critique.

Organization in a well-stocked music classroom is imperative.

In order to make use of the materials, we have to know how to care for them, where they are located, and where they belong. Stacking baskets allow me to organize materials in a child-accessible manner that keeps instruments and other materials safe, easy to locate, and child-accessible. These baskets also allow me to clearly label what their contents are.

The project also includes easel pads I plan to use for anchor charts, adding visual aids to students' learning and understanding of the concepts we cover, from reading musical notation to understanding the form of a song.

While these materials aren't necessarily ones we immediately think of in a music classroom, they will help me make my music classroom an organized, well-balanced, thorough, and accessible classroom for all my students.
