Music, Ballet, and Children!

My students need 190 tickets, bus transportation to see "The Nutcracker," and books, CD's, and DVD's to pre-teach and reinforce our learning.

My Students

Our cultures are partially explained and partially defined by our arts. We want to show our children that art is not just drawing, art is also performing!

We will be bringing all of our first grade students, a kindergarten class, and chaperones to see a performance, especially for school groups.

Our students will have the opportunity to "Meet and Greet" the performers after the show, and ask questions of the "Sugar Plum Fairy" and the "Prince".

My Project

Most of our students have not had the chance to go to a live musical ballet. I did not until I was an adult. With your help, our students will not only get to experience the majesty and beauty of the theater, but they will also get to learn about performance art.

Most of our students do not know that children can dance in a professional ensemble.

Many do not know that people can get paid to dance or play music. With your help, our children will learn these things as well as experience the magic and beauty of the theater.
