I am a first grade teacher, teaching in a very diverse California classroom. This year I have 31 students from 8 different countries. Our day is full of a wonderful jumble of different languages, but I need to teach them in English. I need to encourage my students to speak English throughout the day and across the curriculum, not just during our Language Arts lessons. With your support I can include interactive activities that will get all my students talking and creating a learning environment.
