it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Shuffling through Cd's, throwing out scratched Cd's and cd players that don't work, that is what my students have to deal with on a regular basis.
My students enjoy listening to music.
I have music playing in my class as soon as they walk in. During transition time we play music, it is part of our daily routines.
My students live in a low income neighborhood. We are a Title I school with limited funds. Throughout the day we listen to appropriate music that goes with the theme we are learning. Unfortunately, a lot of our Cd's have been scratched since they have been used so much throughout the years. The children will listen to songs in the listening center and sometimes they drop and scratch the Cd's. For this reason, we would really benefit from having an iPod to play and listen to the songs easier.
My Project
The iPod will allow my students to find the songs they need a lot quicker without having to search through the basket of Cd's while they are at the listening center. We will be able to listen to our transition songs without worrying if they are scratched. Our morning routine with the days of the week and calendar songs will go a lot smoother as well.
My students and I will benefit from the iPod by making our daily routines run a lot smoother.
This will be another electronic device that they will get to experience in school, since they don't have the opportunity at home.
